Tärnö Säteri in Vrena, Nyköping municipality, is home to one of Sweden's largest indoor arenas for training and competition in equestrian sports. We are committed to quality, horse welfare, and sustainability – and now we are looking for an experienced and dedicated stable manager who wants to be a key person in our continued development.

About the position: Our stable manager lives on the farm adjacent to the stable, the accommodation consists of 3 rooms and a kitchen. You are responsible for the daily operations of the stable business. You will work closely with our farm worker who is responsible for the operations on the farm. You lead and distribute the work in the stable, are responsible for horse welfare, and ensure that routines and safety are followed. You will have contact with horse owners, riders, staff, and partners – and ensure that Tärnö Säteri maintains the highest standards at all levels. 

Main responsibilities:

Lead and plan the daily work in the stable and pastures

Ensure good animal husbandry and horse welfare

Supervise and develop stable staff

Maintain contact with visiting teams and partners

Be responsible for scheduling, purchasing, and inventory of feed and consumables

Collaborate with other functions at the facility (e.g., events, training, veterinary)

Accompany as a groom when we are out at national and international competitions

We are looking for someone who:

Has documented experience of working in stables and with horses at a high level

Has experience in training young horses

Has leadership qualities and enjoys a supervisory role

Is meticulous, responsible, and confident in making decisions

Has a strong interest in horses and a high work ethic

Communicates well in spoken and written Swedish and preferably English

Has a B driver's license (BE or C is an advantage)

Does not want to bring their own horse
